Concussion Treatment
A concussion is a direct blow to the head or a forceful movement of the body that creates symptoms of fatigue, headache, neck pain, light sensitivity, ringing in the ears, nausea and other less common symptoms. A concussion assessment includes checking neck muscle function, eye function, balance and heart function as these can be affected after a concussion. Timing of an assessment after a concussion is crucial. Waiting to long after a concussion could prolong symptoms. Treatment after a concussion includes therapy on neck muscles, multiple forms of exercise and developing a proper plan of rest and modification of activities.
Soft Tissue Moblization Technique (Graston)
Graston Technique® uses steel instruments to assist in soft tissue mobilization, enabling us to effectively identify and treat scar tissue and fascial restrictions that affect normal function. Spinal Decompression
Through mechanical and/or manual forms, spinal decompression reduces pain caused by disc bulges, herniation, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and degenerative and traumatic spondylolisthesis. Spinal decompression works by decreasing the daily gravitational load on injured structures between vertebrae.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves inserting very thin needles through the skin at strategic points on the body. It is mainly used to treat pain and there is research evidence to help back this claim. In recent years it has been increasingly used for overall wellness, including stress management.
The Western medical approach for acupuncture views the strategic points to stimulate muscles, nerves and connective tissues. Some researchers theorize that acupuncture helps boost the body’s natural painkillers.
